Broadband registrations reach trigger level in Kingsbridge

March 26, 2003 12:00 AM

Totnes Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson Mike Treleaven today warmly welcomed the news that Kingsbridge had reached the trigger point of 350 people registering an interest in B.T.s Broadband service. Commenting on the success he said:

' I have been checking the web site daily to see what progress has been made, and was delighted to see this morning that we have reached the target figure of 350 subscribers. I hope now that B.T. will be able to carry out the necessary work as quickly as possible so that Kingsbridge businesses and citizens will benefit from the new technology.' He continued ' This is a real boost for the area, particularly for the business community and our thanks must go to the small band of campaigners who have worked extremely hard over the last few weeks to bring this about, and to those subscribers who have registered.'
